Best Time to Visit Dubai from Istanbul: Weather, Events and Prices by Month
The best months to visit Dubai from Türkiye: temperatures, sea conditions, Ramadan, Dubai Shopping Festival, Global Village season, hotel prices and what to expect in summer.
Dubai and Istanbul are seasonal mirror images. When Istanbul is grey and 5 °C in January, Dubai is 24 °C with a warm sea. When Istanbul is at its loveliest in May and October, Dubai is heating up or cooling down. For travellers from Türkiye this is good news: the ideal Dubai months are precisely the ones you'd most like to leave home.
Quick answer
- Best overall: November to March — 20–28 °C, sea 22–25 °C, Global Village and Miracle Garden open, desert evenings cool enough for a jacket.
- Shoulder value: April and October — 30–35 °C, cheaper hotels, everything still open; plan outdoor activities for morning and evening.
- Summer (June–September): 40 °C+, very high humidity. Hotels are 40–60% cheaper and everything is air-conditioned, but a beach holiday means pool-by-night, not sunbathing.

Ramadan in Dubai
Dubai is welcoming during Ramadan and, for many visitors, at its most beautiful: iftar tents, lit-up mosques, later opening hours and a slower pace. Rules have relaxed in recent years — most restaurants serve during the day, discreetly — but you should avoid eating, drinking or smoking in the street before sunset. Tours run normally; desert safaris become iftar experiences. Hotel prices are typically 20–30% lower than the rest of winter.
Big-ticket dates to plan around
- Dubai Shopping Festival (mid-December to late January): fireworks, raffles, deep discounts — but the busiest hotels of the year.
- New Year's Eve: the Burj Khalifa fireworks are the most-watched in the world; Downtown hotels sell out months ahead at 2–3× normal rates.
- Global Village (late October to late April): 90 pavilions, food from 27 countries, fireworks on weekends — a Turkish-family favourite.
- Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha: Gulf residents travel, so hotels and flights spike for 4–5 days.
If you can only come in summer
It is doable, and cheap. Choose a beach resort with a chilled pool and evening beach access; schedule the desert safari for the evening (the camp is much nicer after dark), Burj Khalifa for sunset, and use the mornings for Dubai Mall, the Aquarium, Ski Dubai and museums. Emiratis and residents live like this every summer — you'll be fine.

Frequently asked questions
November, February and March offer the best combination of 24–28 °C days, warm sea and every attraction open. December and January are equally good but pricier because of the Shopping Festival and New Year.
