Bosphorus Sunset Cruise on a Private Wooden Yacht

The Bosphorus is Istanbul's main street, and the only way to understand the city is from the water. We skip the crowded public boats and board a restored wooden yacht (max 12 guests) at Kabataş about 90 minutes before sunset. Your guide narrates as you pass Dolmabahçe Palace, the Ortaköy Mosque under the July 15 Bridge, the waterside yalı mansions of Arnavutköy and Bebek, and Rumeli Fortress, before crossing to the Asian shore at Kandilli and Beylerbeyi Palace.

We time the return so the sun sets behind the Old City skyline — Topkapı, Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque silhouetted in gold — while you drink Turkish tea and pick at olives, cheese, sarma and fresh bread.
