Dubai Frame
A 150-metre golden picture frame in Zabeel Park whose sky deck looks at old Dubai on one side and the new skyline on the other — one of the city's best-value viewpoints.
Opened in January 2018, Dubai Frame is exactly what it looks like: a 150-metre-tall, 93-metre-wide frame clad in gold-coloured stainless steel, placed so that Deira and the Creek fill one side and Downtown fills the other. The 'picture' changes depending on which way you face.
The visit
A ground-floor gallery tells Dubai's story from fishing village to metropolis, then a lift climbs one tower in 75 seconds to the sky deck — a 93-metre bridge with a 25-square-metre glass floor that turns opaque and clear as you walk over it. The descent ends with a short 'future Dubai' film. Allow 60 minutes.
Practical
- Tickets are a fraction of Burj Khalifa's, with children's prices and free entry for under-3s.
- Open daily from 09:00 to 21:00; last entry an hour before closing.
- Enter Zabeel Park at Gate 4; Al Jafiliya metro station (Red Line) is about a 10-minute walk.
- Late afternoon gives sun on the Downtown side; after dark both sides are lit.
